Illinois Marathon 2009 - Inaugural Running of the Marathon, Half-Marathon, & 5K

Illinois Marathon Overview:

Some organizers in Champaign-Urbana, Illinois must have watched the success of the Chicago Marathon and thought "What if?" As any Illini can tell you, the land is just as flat down there and welcoming to runners as it is up here. Plus, with the Illinois Marathon race date poised just six months after (or before) the Chicago Marathon, they will be in a good position to register Midwest runners who want to stay marathon ready year round.

There will also be half-marathon and 5K races.

Illinois Marathon Course Overview:

The Illinois Marathon will begin and end on the campus of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. The start line will be outside of Assembly Hall, and the finish line will be on the 50 yard line of Memorial Stadium. The half-marathon and 5K will share these start and finish lines.

Illinois Marathon - How to Register:

You can register online to run in the Illinois marathon, half-marathon, and 5K here.

Registration fees for the marathon begin at $65 and then increase as the race date nears.
