The Chicago Cubs Baseball Summer Camps offer children ages 5-13 -- of all abilities -- the "ultimate Major League Experience" for eight one-week sessions in six convenient locations around the Chicago area. Join fellow teammates for a week of baseball instruction. Chicago Cubs Summer Camps participants enjoy exclusive access and privileges during their week at camp including player visits and autographs, an exclusive all-access VIP tour of Wrigley Field, an official Cubs uniform, and more.
When Are the Chicago Cubs Baseball Summer Camps:
The Chicago Cubs Baseball Summer Camps for the 2012 season start June 25 and go through August 13 and last for one week. So, for example, if your child signs up for the June 25 session, that session would go through June 29. The last session is August 13 - August 17. All camps run from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. Registration is $549 per child per session. Early Work Morning Day Care (7:30 - 9 a.m.) can be added on for an additional $15 for the entire week. Extended Day Care (3 - 6 p.m.) can be added on for an additional $50 for the entire week.
Where Are the Chicago Cubs Baseball Summer Camps Held:
Each Chicago Cubs Baseball Summer Camp is held at a different location. Locations include Lake Forest IL for the June 25 and July 23 sessions; Lisle, IL for the July 2 and July 30 sessions; Niles, IL for the July 8 session; Burr Ridge, IL for the July 16 session; River Forest, IL for the August 6 session; and Evanston, IL for the August 13 session. Chicago Cubs Baseball Summer Camps Orientations:
Cubs Camps offer family orientation days in order to facilitate the process of uniform handout and a brief chance to meet some of the coaches. Parents can stop by one of the orientations before their child attends a camp. The orientations are an "open house" format so parents may stop in at any time they'd like - the process usually takes approximately 10 - 15 minutes. Chicago Cubs Baseball Summer Camps Staff:
The Chicago Cubs Baseball Summer Camps' coaching staff is comprised of professional coaches with experience at the youth, high school, collegiate, and professional coaching ranks. The camps specifically target teachers and educators with outstanding backgrounds working with and motivating children. Instructors are "well versed in the fundamentals of the game and place a strong emphasis on teaching proper mechanics as the building blocks for successful baseball players." Through the camps' all-camper assemblies and daily individual and teamwork challenges, each camp strives to teach the core values of leadership, teamwork, and effort over results. It is the camp's mission "that each camper has the experience of a lifetime and leaves our camps as both a stronger baseball player and a better leader off the field."
