Gap Outlet Store - Guide Review
Gap Outlet Store in Brief: Think of this as "Gap Light." Many of the clothes featured at this store are made especially for the outlet at lower price points. To my eye, in general, they weren't quite as fashion forward as the regular Gap stores, but there were still lots of good wardrobe finds at really great prices. That being said, I still think the clearance racks at any regular Gap store are as good or better than what I found here.

- Great prices. The jeans price point was around $40 and many were discounted off of that. (Compare this to price points at the regular Gap stores of $50 to $75.) Saw v-neck t-shirts priced at $12.99 marked "50% off - Limited Time Only." Bought my husband three pairs of cotton, USA-made socks for $8. (I know, my life is really, really exciting.) A comparable pair at the regular Gap store that was "Made in Korea, Sewn in China" was $6.50 each/3 for $15.
- Large store with lots of merchandise.
- Lots of 30% and 50% off signs.
- Genuinely friendly staff without being pushy.
- Not quite so fashion-forward as regular Gap. Fewer "hipper" items to my eye in the women's section, but baby and child sections seemed similar to regular stores.
- Clearance racks (when I was there) were slim-pickings.
