This year the Signature Room is offering a special hybrid brunch that includes appetizers, cold seafood, meats and cheeses, as well as an a la carte entrees. The location of The Chicago Firehouse is a bit of a history lesson. Its 1401 South Michigan Avenue address used to be home to a turn-of-the-century firehouse. Since 2001, this South Loop restaurant has called this location home serving those yummy American comfort foods. The Chicago Firehouse Thanksgiving Day buffet will feature all the classic dishes (stuffing, gravy, mashed potatoes, etc.) for $49.95 per person. For the kids, ages five to 12, price is $19. This Streeterville restaurant, with Executive Chef Greg Elliott at the helm, is offering a three-course Thanksgiving menu that uses all local ingredients. For the first course, choose between caesar salad, shaved persimmon salad, or local butternut squash soup. Traditional turkey, as well as ricotta ravioli or salmon will also be served. For dessert, try a pear-almond tart, pumpkin pie, or flourless chocolate cake. Cost is $48 per person.
