Terzo Piano is the fine dining restaurant in the Art Institute of Chicago's new Modern Wing. Their menu is led by chef Tony Mantuano, who is best known for Spiaggia. He also won the James Beard 2005 Best Chef Award.
Terzo Piano opened with the Modern Wing on May 16, 2009, and it will be primarily a luncheon spot in the beginning. Right now, they're open for dinner on Thursdays only. The restaurant features 160 dining room seats, 26 barstool seats, and 60 outdoor seats on the Bluhm Family Terrace.
Terzo Piano takes reservations and also offers tables on a first come, first serve basis.

Terzo Piano is located on the third floor and west end of the Modern Wing of the Art Institute of Chicago. It's destined to become a dining must for every Chicagoan and visitor for an unparalleled view and setting overlooking the Millennium Park.
You access Terzo Piano either via Nichols Bridgeway or the Monroe Street entrance of the Modern Wing. You can also get to it through the main (older) part of the museum.
