Palace Grill - Comments

It's hard not to adore this hot spot of breakfast and lunch dining. It's truly a classic Chicago place, full of a wide cross section of the city's bustling workforce with a charming, nostalgiac decor and a sweeping diner menu.

I'd stop short of calling it the best breakfast spot in the city as one big name critic did because the breakfast is cooked in what I'd call an old-school style. That is, its emphasis is less concerned with being heart healthy than it is with filling up the aforementioned workforce. That said, they're still the best damn hash browns I've ever had. The service was incredibly warm and friendly, and I dig the atmosphere.

I consider Palace Grill a must-visit spot for any Chicagoan and a great choice for entertaining your out-of-town guests.
