World's Finest Chocolate Outlet - Comments
I visited this outlet right before the Easter holiday to see if the chocolate really was discounted. In other words, is it really an outlet with quality merchandise at reduced prices? Or, at least, is it an outlet with less-than-perfect quality merchandise at super reduced prices? I was pleasantly surprised to see this place offered both.
The small store was packed with chocolate, sugar candy, and nut options to fill an Easter basket for little or to help celebrate a special occasion.
The prices, I thought, were pretty low. For a little over $3, I walked out of there with a decent assortment: 6 small chocolate caramel bars, a 3 oz. bag of Groovy Gummies (like Gummy Bears), a 6 oz. box of malted milk balls, and a 2.5 oz. W.F. Crisp bar that was six months past its expiration date but still pretty tasty anyway.
Some of the chocolates I bought or saw were in wrappers for specific fundraisers. My crisp bar reads "Semper Paratus" and features a photo of a Coast Guard vessel and their seal. My other chocolates were wrapped in World's Finest standard designs and tasted fresh. I'd certainly stop short of calling the chocolate the world's finest (with lower case letters), but I thought it was good enough and priced right.
Have you been to either outlet? What did you think of it?
