Lincoln Park Conservatory Overview:
No matter what the weather threatens in Chicago, you can count on a welcoming, lush, and tropical landscape in the Lincoln Park Conservatory.
Built under glass between the years of 1890 and 1895, the compact structure houses exotic plants, palms, and ferns. The conservatory features four main rooms: the Orchid House, Show House, Fern Room, and Palm House.
The Lincoln Park Conservatory is the smaller of the city's two conservatories. The other one is the Garfield Park Conservatory, which is located the city's west side.

Lincoln Park Conservatory Special Features & Events:
The Conservatory is small enough that you can see all four rooms during your visit and all of them are worthy of your time.
Be sure not to miss the semi-permanent sound gallery in the prehistoric-like setting of the Fern Room. The Fern Room doubles as an exhibit space for artists who work in sound, and the juxtaposition is always compelling and sometimes incredibly subtle.
The Spring Flower Show and Winter Train and Flower Show are also perennial favorites, so to speak.
