This sculpture of the Tin Man from the children's book The Wonderful Wizard of Oz was created by artist John Kearney. It is located on the southwest corner of Lincoln Avenue and Webster Street in Oz Park, a 13-acre public park.
Oz Park was named for the writer L. Frank Baum (1856-1919) who lived several miles west of this area and who wrote the famous children's book series. The park also features sculptures of Dorothy and Toto, the Scarecrow, and the Cowardly Lion.
