Overview of Chicago Blues Fest:
Chicago Blues Fest is a free, internationally acclaimed annual festival that will be held next on June 12 through June 14, 2009. It's the largest free blues music festival in the world.
Barry Dolins, the Chicago Blues Festival Coordinator, describes the event as "showing the blues as a living tradition and celebrating the men and women who have lived their lives playing and singing the blues."
That, of course, is all true, but it's also a heckuva great time. More than 90 performances sprawl across six stages - definitely enough to get your mojo working.
