Chicago Outdoor Film Festival - Alphabetical Listing of Featured Titles

At opening night of Chicago's Outdoor Film Festival in the summer of 2000, legendary film critic Gene Siskel's absence was still felt in the community. He had died a little over a year earlier.

Chicago's other legendary film critic, Roger Ebert, stepped up to introduce the opening film (which was "Wizard of Oz"), but he first warmly remembered Gene. Then Ebert said that when the city asked him whether he thought people would attend an outdoor movie festival, he shrugged and said, "Yeah, you could probably get several hundred people to show up." Of course, thousands sat before him in Grant Park when he made that remark, and the audience for the outdoor film festival has only grown since.
