1. Cupid's Crawl Pub Crawl - February 11, 2012

Cupid's Crawl will kick off at Deuce's and The Diamond Club at 7 p.m. on Saturday, February 11, followed by stops at Vines on Clark, John Barleycorn, and Red Ivy. Crawlers will be given a wristband for specials including: $3 Coors Lights, $4 Absolut "Flavors of Love" and $5 Absolut, Jameson and Malibu cocktails at each stop on the crawl. Cost is free minus whatever you pay for drinks.

2. Valentine's Day Dinner at Atwood Cafe

Inspired by the roaring 20s, chef Derek Simcik delivers a menu of oysters Rockefeller, lobster thermidor, filet with carrots and turnips and tarte tatin. $48 per person. Additional $20 for wine pairing. 5–11 p.m.

3. Valentine's Day Private Dance Lessons - February 11 - 14, 2012

Ballroom Dance Chicago is offering Tango and Salsa dancing lessons. Complimentary wine and hors d'oeuvres will be served. $70 per couple. Spots fill up quickly. Call 312-504-5866 to schedule a lesson.

4. Valentine's Day Dinner at C-House

Top Chef Master Marcus Samuelsson's restaurant features a four-course tasting menu of sunchoke soup, Arctic char with polenta, steak and red wine–braised dates, and dark chocolate torte with salty pretzels, cherries and mascarpone ice cream. 5. Valentine's Day Couples Cooking Class with Parties That Cook - February 11, 2012

Celebrate Valentine's Day by making a meal that's sure to be both romantic and memorable. You and your partner will heat up the kitchen as you learn cooking techniques, sip prosecco, and prepare an array of international gourmet small plates with hands-on instruction. Complimentary prosecco is included. Menu includes Grilled Shrimp with Cocoa Nib Romesco, Sweet Potato Pancakes with Crispy Prosciutto and Sour Cream, and Chocolate Pretzel Cookies with Mexican Hot Chocolate Dipping Sauce

6. Celebrating Valentine's Day at Geja's Cafe

For 11 days, Geja's will offer sparkling champagne, live flamenco and classical guitarists and photo keepsakes to accompany its fondue cuisine. Nightly specials include "Love Note Wednesday" on February 8 and "Double Anniversary Discounts" on Monday, February 6. $105 per person. Seatings at 5pm, 7:30pm and 10pm.

7. Cupid’s Chase 5K - February 11, 2012

Run with your heart this Valentine's Day by running the Cupid's Chase 5K Run in Chicago. Walkers and on-site registration welcome. Advance registration is $35. If you register on-site, the day of the run, the registration fee increases to $50. Race is at 1765 N Stockton Drive (SW corner of Stockton and W. LaSalle Drive). Check the race's Web site for start time.

8. For Singles: A Night at Mercadito

Mercadito's "Single and Ready to Mingle" five-course sharing menu is perfect for a group of friends ($55 a person, 5 p.m. –1 a.m.). For those in a relationship, learn how to prepare chef Patricio's four-course menu with paired cocktails the day before Valentine's. $75 per person. 7pm.
