Answer: Chicagoans can quickly identify their alderman and their ward by typing their address into a database called Civic Footprint. The search engine was created as a public service by the Chicago-based non-profit Center for Neighborhood Technology. It also gives contact information for every alderman. Your ward number is located after your alderman's name in parentheses.
