11. Center on Halsted Pride Celebration - Friday, June 26
A roof-top celebration of pride of community and pride of a community center.
12. Chicago Gay Mens' Chorus - Friday, June 26 and Saturday, June 27
The GCMC celebrates Pride month and the music of Judy Garland with performances of "Over the Rainbow" at Lakeshore Theater.13. Dyke March - Saturday, June 27
The Dyke March will begin at 1 p.m. on Saturday. Check listing for final location.14. BackLot Bash - Saturday, June 27 and Sunday, June 28
This 6th annual celebration and pride event will take place in Andersonville. Pride is not just for boys you know.
15. Pride Fest - Friday, June 26 and Saturday, June 27
Because before you have a parade, you have to have a fest. This one is centered at Halsted and Waveland Avenues.
16. Proud to Run - Saturday, June 27
This event celebrates 28 this year. It's a 5K and 10K run plus a 2 mile "fun walk" to celebrate Pride Weekend. The start and finish lines are in Lincoln Park near Montrose.
17. Pride Parade - Sunday, June 28
Chicago's most exuberant neighborhood parade celebrates 40 in 2009, but, really, she doesn't look a day over 29. Don't you think?
