Top 12 Chicago Dog Parks

From , former About.com Guide

The Chicago Park District likes to call dog parks "dog friendly areas." But, if your dog is like mine, she won't know the difference. Make plans now to enjoy these city-sanctioned dog spots.

11. Walsh Playground Park

1722 N. Ashland Avenue
Chicago, IL
See map here.
The dog park is located at the north end of the park, along the train tracks.

12. Wicker Park

1425 N. Damen
Chicago, IL
(312)
See map here.
The dog area is located in the park's southeast corner.

13. Bonus - Belmont Dog Harbor

Jennifer Roche
This is not an official "dog-friendly" area, but there is an unofficial one where your dog can play on the beach and in the lake off-leash. It's on the west side of Belmont Harbor at about Hawthorne Place. It gets kind of icky, in my opinion, but many owners brave it and the dogs always seem to be having a blast.
