Senators Barack Obama (D-IL) and John McCain (R-AZ) met for the third and final debate at Hofstra University in New York on October 15, 2008. During that debate, McCain made a statement about the waste of spending on an "overhead projector" that drew the ire of Chicago's Adler Planetarium. The planetarium issued a rapid response to the debate the following day.
