On September 25, 2008, Democratic Presidential Nominee and Senator Barack Obama (D-IL) returned to the White House to meet with President Bush, his opponent Senator John McCain (R-AZ), and other officials in an effort to address the country's financial meltdown. The meeting was held in the Cabinet Room of the White House.
