Barack Obama enters the world's stage on Election Night, November 4, 2008, for the first time after the nation learned he had been elected President of the United States. He is joined by his wife, Michelle Obama, and his two daughters, Sasha (left) and Malia (right). The girls were later promised a puppy in Obama's speech that night. His Election Night rally was held at Chicago's Grant Park.
