Sean Parnell created the Chicago Bar Project in the Year 2000 as a way to honor this great city’s watering holes, as well as to rationalize his drinking habits.

Since then, Parnell has written bar reviews for Time Out and Esquire Magazine, led historic pub crawls for the Chicago History Museum, and has traveled the globe in search of world’s best pubs. Parnell is currently writing a book on historic Chicago taverns, to be released in early 2009 by Lake Claremont Press.
