September 11th Memorial© Jennifer Roche
This hand-made memorial to those who died in the September 11, 2001 attack on New York City and the Pentagon can be found on Southport Avenue just north of Diversey Avenue. Clicking on the photo will enlarge it and make it easier to read.

The inscription reads: "In memory of the Americans killed September 11, 2001 by and (sic) enemy attack on New York, Washington DC, and in PA. Remember them always. America's saddest September. Pray for the Families. Fly Your Flag. Be a Patriot. The Reunited States of America."
