Art Institute of Chicago Free Days - Overview:

Every year, the Art Institute of Chicago offers free days when the public can attend without paying the general admission charges.

Please note: Special exhibits, some tours, and other features may require an additional charge. These dates, like everything, are subject to change.

Art Institute of Chicago Free Days - 2009 Schedule:

The Art Institute of Chicago has free general admission every Thursday night throughout the year from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Additional free days are as follows:

February Free Days at the Art Institute of Chicago

Free every day in February.

May Free Days at the Art Institute of Chicago The Art Institute will be free for the week following the opening of the Modern Wing on May 16 and running to May 22.

Summer Free Days at the Art Institute of Chicago

From Memorial Day to Labor Day, the museum will be open late on Thursday and Friday evenings from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Admission will be free during these times.
