The 13th annual Pumpkins in the Park 5K is Chicago's official "Halloween race."5K participants enjoy a winding course with three "Fear Zones" through scenic Lincoln Park. A post-race party fellows including Goose Island food and beer, a "Movie in the Park" featuring the 1984 classic Ghostbusters, and costume contests. The Pumpkins in the Park 5K uses the Chronotrack B-Tag Timing System. Timing devices will be distributed at Packet Pick-Up.
The race also includes the CLIF Kid Spooky Sprints for kids 12 and under. Other kid-friendly activities include pumpkin decorating, 12 Trick-or-Treat stations, and a children's costume parade.

Pumpkins in the Park 5K race will take place in Lincoln Park, specifically: Lincoln Park South Field House at Stockton Drive and LaSalle Street.
Pumpkins in the Park 5K Race Course:

Getting to Pumpkins in the Park 5K Race:
Limited street parking may be available. Paid parking is available at the Chicago History Museum lot, (Clark and LaSalle, with the entrance on Stockton Drive ) or in the Lincoln Park Zoo Lot (on Cannon Drive, just south of Fullerton) on a first come, first serve basis. Pumpkins in the Park 5K Weather Policy:
The Pumpkins in the Park 5K will take place rain or shine. If cancellation of the event is warranted due to dangerous weather conditions, announcements will be made race day at the race site. The event will not be canceled in advance. All decisions regarding cancellation will be made on site, race day.
