CHICAGO RESTAURANT WEEK 2013: If you are a foodie and are in Chicago this February, you're in for some good news. Chicago's annual Restaurant Week 2013 kicks off on February 1 and will last for 10 days through February 10 with over 200 restaurants offering special prix fix menus starting at about $22. This is a great bargain considering that some of Chicago's top restaurants will be showcasing their best dishes and spirits with three-course lunches and dinners. Participating restaurants will offer lunch, dinner, or both at their discretion. Chicago Restaurant Week is a member-based program designed to promote the restaurant industry and drive traffic to participating establishments during a typically slow time of year (winter in Chicago). Restaurant Week is organized by the Chicago Convention & Tourism Bureau.

ICE SKATING AT MILLENNIUM PARK: Ice skating at Chicago's Millennium Park is one of Chicago's most popular winter activities with the rink's skyscraper views, festive music, and charm - the Millennium Park Ice Rink is outside along Michigan Avenue. The 2012/2013 Millennium Park Ice Skating season will run through March, weather permitting. Ice skating is free. Skate rentals are $10 a pair. Millennium Park is located on Michigan Avenue between Washington and Madison Street (on the east side of Michigan Avenue).
