It's probably no surprise that Chicago's O'Hare International Airport (ORD) was ranked as the U.S.'s #1 Worst Weather Airport by the Weather Channel
. O'Hare received this infamous ranking due to the entire spectrum of wild winter weather the airport (which is the the third busiest in U.S.) can experience, including rain, snow and thunderstorms causing more than one third of all flights at O'Hare to be delayed.
So, if you are traveling this week, especially tomorrow, Wednesday, November 24, be sure to sign up for your airline's flight status updates that can be sent via text, e-mail or voicemail to your cell phone. And remember: even if your flight is delayed, you still need to be at the airport in time for the flight's original departure time since delays can be canceled and the flight can go out on-time. You can also learn how to track delays at O'Hare.
