Want a professional, guided tour of your favorite Chicago neighborhood? Now's your chance.

In June and July only, the Chicago Greeter program isn't just for out-of-towners.

During these months, Chicago residents can also tour and experience the city with a knowledgeable volunteer Greeter. The best part: all tours are free.

Tours are between two and four hours and include a "walking visit of a neighborhood or special local interest of their choice," according to the City of Chicago.

Sample tours include neighborhoods such as Rogers Park and Old Town and specialty tours like Chicago Architecture and Green Chicago. (Tip: Old Town is where the famous Second City comedy club is located and is where the likes of comedians John Belushi and Chris Farley got their starts.)

For more information and to reserve online, please go to the Chicago Greeter program or call 312-744-8000.
