When you go to see the new Modern Wing at the Art Institute of Chicago, there is so much to take in, that you could be forgiven for feeling overwhelmed. That's why I asked the curators, a security guard, and some of the guys from the physical plant department what they hoped you wouldn't miss. Here's what they said (with a few of my own thoughts thrown in).
Enjoy. It's a magnificent addition to our city. No doubt we'll enjoy it together for decades to come.
The Art Institute will be free through next Friday, May 22. PLEASE remember to bring a canned good or two to help stock the shelves of the Greater Chicago Food Depository.
