Celebrate a Chicago Chinese New Year - Chinese New Year Events
Tuesday January 6, 2009
The Year of the Ox will soon be upon us. I was thinking it might be even better if he were a bull, but I'm not going to push it.
According to an Art Institute of Chicago exhibit on the Chinese zodiac, those of you born in the year of the ox are earnest and honest, are loyal friends, have a tendency to be strict and are often stubborn.
Maybe that's just the kind of year we need.
The official Chinese New Year begins Monday, January 26, but Chicago Chinese New Year festivities begin as early as Thursday, January 22 and run into February.
