Chicago Christmas Tree Recycling - Where to Recycle Your Christmas Tree in Chicago

Monday December 29, 2008
If there's a more dreary holiday chore than taking down the Christmas tree, I haven't come across it. Fortunately, you can haul ye old Tannenbaum off to the wood chipper rather than putting it out with your garbage. The City of Chicago has published their complete list of tree recycling locations that will be available between January 3 and January 16, 2009. Happy de-ornamenting. Yuck.

I agree - very depressing to take down the tree. But by recycling, you can feel like you accomplished something. It’s also a fascinating activity for a 3-year-old boy to watch the tree mulcher chopping up the tree.
