Chicago Thanksgiving Day Events and Things To Do

Wednesday November 26, 2008
GCFD LogoThere are nine choices on our list of great things to do on Thanksgiving Day beyond turkey tasting. But one stands out among all others: Give to the Greater Chicago Food Depository.

Either slip them a few (or more) bucks through their online donation site or grab some cans of food the next time you're at Dominick's and stick them in the giant boxes near the check-out lines. I don't need to tell you that times are tough. Demand for GCFD food is up 33% over last year. Please, help a neighbor if you can.

Peace and joy to you on this day of thanks.
