Cubs Lose - Never Mind That Crazy World Series Talk

My colleague, Scott Kendrick, About.com's Guide to Baseball, has the dismal story of the Cubs lousy post-season. He runs it under the apt headline, "Cubs Hibernate Early Again."

We don't have cable right now (long story), so we listened to the games on the radio. I've never heard more hollow "wait til next year" talk than what came out of Ron Santo's mouth right after the Cubs dropped their final game. Can't say I blame him. It's hard to muster enthusiasm about looking forward right now. Condolences to all Cubby fans.
