Chicago in Olympic Quarter Finals - So to Speak

Chicago learned today that we're one of the four finalist cities to host the 2016 Summer Olympics. It's now us versus Rio de Janeiro, Madrid, and Tokyo. The final decision will be made by the International Olympic Committee on October 2, 2009.

Hmmm. So let's get this week's tally straight.

• Our city is one of four finalist candidates to host the Olympics.
• Our senator is one of two finalist candidates for President of the United States of America.
• The Cubs and White Sox are both in first place in their divisions, which means we will host the World Series this year.

Right?
