Happy Birthday to the King!

Tuesday January 15, 2008
Martin Luther King, Jr. that is. His actual birthday was today, but Chicago, like the nation, will celebrate King's legacy this weekend with the holiday on Monday and a series of celebrations around the city.

You can find out about some of Chicago's more prominent MLK events here, including the two performances by the Chicago Sinfonettia with the 200-voice Apostolic Church of God Sanctuary Choir pictured at right. (Bet you can hear well even in the cheap seats at this one.)
